Promotional Items for World AIDS Day

« All Events
Sunday, December 1st, 2013

World AIDS Day is observed each year on December 1 to raise awareness for the AIDS epidemic that affects millions of people globally. Established by the World Health Organization in 1988, it is now the longest-running and farthest-reaching disease awareness, education and prevention crusade of its kind. Each year there is a theme that is used to emphasize certain aspects of prevention and treatment efforts, encompassing topics like communication, youth, stigma, and discrimination. Since 2005 and continuing through the year 2010 the World AIDS Campaign Global Steering Committee has created a perpetual theme for each World AIDS Day in the 6-year span, “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise,” with a yearly sub-theme. The Committee created this theme with the purpose of urging political leaders around the world to keep their commitment to attaining universal access to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care by the year 2010.

Show your support this World AIDS Day by wearing an Awareness Ribbon Pin or Awareness Wrist Band and help stop the spread of AIDS.
