Promotional Items for National Photograph Month

Tuesday, May 1st, 2012

The very first photograph is said to have been taken on a summer day in 1827 by a man named Joseph Nicephore Niepce. Niepce placed an engraving onto a metal plate coated in a black, tar-like liquid called bitumen, and then exposed it to light. The light created a chemical reaction with the liquid on the areas of the plate not covered by the engraving, and by then placing the plate in a solvent, gradually the image appeared.  The photograph required eight hours of light exposure, but it still marked a prominent step in the path to today’s modern photograph.

Today, photographs are valued for a variety of purposes, from providing a means of conserving moments in history and capturing personal memories, to granting us a new form of art. Celebrate National Photography Month this May and encourage your clients and employees to explore the art of photography by giving them a customized promotional camera. Or help them display their favorite photographs with a personalized photo album or picture frame. In addition to helping them preserve the memories of their past, with these promotional items you can help them preserve the memory of your brand!
