The first annual High Museum of Art Print Fair, co-sponsored by the International Fine Print Dealers Association, is a rare opportunity to acquire fine original prints from a wide range of artists, from Old Masters including Rembrandt and Dürer to American artists such as John Sloan and Robert Rauschenberg to contemporary masters such as Kiki Smith and Chuck Close. All works are available for purchase. You can also attend a reception Friday evening to celebrate this new event – and be the first to preview and purchase the works – for a $150 ticket cost. Art-B-Que 2011

Are your walls and shelves looking a little blah? Take home a splash of color from the 4th annual Art-B-Que festival this weekend in Avondale Estates, where you’ll find one-of-a-kind works by local artists along with live music, great food, artist demonstrations, a car show, a kid zone, and more!

Decatur Green Fest

Decatur Courthouse Square. Saturday, 3pm – 9:30pm. Free.

This environmentally-focused celebration promises everything from a lightbulb exchange with Atlanta Lightbulbs to artwork pieces made from recycled materials. Expect tons of live music, green vendors, services and organizations, not to mention Terrapin Beer on tap and organic wine selections. Sponsors include 92.9 DaveFM, Eddie’s Attic, Terrapin Beer Co., and Brick Store Pub, among others, so be on the lookout for promotional giveaways!

99x unplugged park tavern

99X Unplugged in the Park

Park Tavern. Sunday, 7pm. Free.

Head to Park Tavern this Sunday evening to kick off the 2011 season of the Unplugged in the Park concert series. This year’s lineup of free music begins with Sonia Leigh’s soulful sounds and continues weekly with familiar faces and newcomers alike, including Alice Peacock, Griffin House, Ingram Hill, and many more. Although shows are 21 and older, children may be admitted when with a parent.

4th Annual Virginia Highlands Cinco de Mayo Celebration & Block Party

Greenwood Ave. at N. Highland Ave. Thursday, 5pm – 11pm. $5.

Join the fiesta in the Highlands and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with live music, authentic Mexican cuisine, and of course, a beer and margarita bar. Don’t forget to bring your sombrero!

In honor of “Be Kind to Animals Week,” the Gwinnett Humane Society is sponsoring the 18th annual PAWfest to raise community awareness and celebrate the bond between pets and humans. Voted one of Gwinnett’s Best Local Festivals in 2010, PAWfest includes a 3 mile Pack Hike, a silent auction, and various pet-related demonstrations.
