Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis
Centennial Olympic Park. Sunday; registration starts at 4pm, walk starts at 5pm. Free; donations appreciated.
Join the Crohn’s and Colitis Georgia community this Sunday for a fun-filled evening walk and celebration benefiting the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. One in every 200 Americans suffers daily from Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. Throughout the year, Take Steps enables patient families to join together with their local communities to build visibility and awareness about these digestive diseases while raising critical funds. Participants will enjoy a casual 2-3 mile stroll in a festival-like environment with food, music and fun.

Dunwoody Beer Festival
Perimeter Mall. Saturday, 2pm – 7pm. $30 in advance; $35 day of the festival.
Now in its tenth year, the Dunwoody Beer Festival has become a local tradition. The event features over 150 different types of beers, malt beverages, and liquors from around the globe. Admission covers all live entertainment, a souvenir pint glass, and as many beverages as you can safely consume. All proceeds benefit Camp Twin Lakes, a non-profit organization offering year-round recreational, therapeutic, and educational programs for youth living with serious illness and disabilities.

A Taste of the Highlands
John Howell Park. Saturday, 2pm – 5pm. $40.
If you’re hungry for a good cause, head to A Taste of the Highlands this Saturday, where all proceeds benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Enjoy food and drinks from local favorites such as 4th and Swift, The Family Dog, DBA Barbecue, La Tavola, Mali, Woody’s Cheesesteaks and more, while listening to live music from Down Since One and Whoa Nelly Bluegrass Band.

Buckhead Spring Arts & Crafts Festival
Chastain Park. Saturday, 10am – 7pm; Sunday, 11am – 6pm. Free.
The second annual Buckhead Spring Arts and Crafts festival, honoring 175 artists and artisans, promises to be a weekend filled with tons of fun. This year’s event, which will benefit the Chastain Dog Park Campaign, is organized by a number of artistic experts as well as the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, LLC. The two day outdoor festival will feature a wide range of different styles of arts and crafts, live acoustic music, a children’s area, and local food and beverage. Visitors have the opportunity to view artists’ demonstrations and participate in hands-on activities while helping give back to the local community.

Tim Meadows Weekend
Dad’s Garage. Friday, 8pm; Saturday, 8pm & 10:30pm. $23+.
Known as the second-longest running cast member on Saturday Night Live and his signature character, the original “swingingly smooth” Ladies Man, comedian Tim Meadows will be in town for three performances at Dad’s Garage this weekend. Tim has also appeared in Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mean Girls, Walk Hard, and other films and television programs.

Ignition
The Alliance Stage at the Woodruff Arts Center. Friday, 8pm; Saturday, 2pm & 8pm; Sunday, 2pm & 7pm. $15+ students, $20+ adults.
Celebrate movement, talent, and diversity as a number of young choreographers make their world premieres with pieces created exclusively for the Atlanta Ballet. New choreographic voices include Julliard graduate Bennyroyce Royon, Gina Patterson, and Amy Seiwert, who collaborates with prize-winning poet and Morehouse graduate Marc Bamuthi Joseph as well as acclaimed violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain in an original piece.

5th Annual Summer Spectacular at Sweetwater Brewery
Sweetwater Brewery. Saturday, 9pm – 12am. $30.
Grab your friends and venture to Sweetwater Brewery to support a great cause this weekend. Your $30 ticket gets you live music, Ray’s NY Pizza, a Sweetwater Brewing Co. pint glass, tastings of Sweetwater brews and a behind-the-scenes tour, as well as a free ride to Buckhead or the Virginia Highlands after the event. Proceeds benefit Triple Play Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to using sports to promote educational responsibility, healthy living, and community service to at-risk youths through out Atlanta and Athens.
