Get Your Brand Out at Outdoor Festivals & Events!

Screen on the GreenOutdoor summer movie festivals provide advertisers with ample opportunity to increase brand exposure. On Wednesday night I attended one such free showing, and immediately noticed the abundance of booths and promoters lining the perimeter of the screening area.

Surrounding restaurants offered special deals on “box” dinners for audience members, and even though I had not heard of many of the restaurants, by glancing around at the food containers in front of my movie-watching neighbors, I soon knew what local options were available. DJs from an Atlanta radio station manned a giveaway wheel for passersby, and offered prizes like logo t-shirts and key chains, while another company distributed free bottled water with custom labels featuring their contact information.

Another unique promotional idea to generate buzz at outdoor concerts or festivals is giving away custom imprinted mints or gum. A new product introduction to this category is energy gum, which provides a pick-me-up when it is consumed. Keep in mind that you do not need to spend a lot of money to make a lasting impact with your giveaways!

Any local event that draws a crowd is a great place to reach potential customers, and promotional products may be exactly what you need to grow your business’ clientele.

Hittin’ the Pool

pool promotional productsMost schools are out and summer is well underway. The local pools are packed with kids and those trying to get rid of their pale winter skin. I spent the past weekend laying by my friend’s pool, bronzing myself and trying to stay hydrated in this Atlanta heat. There were a couple of promotional products that I brought along with me that I could not have done without. First and foremost I have to have good music playing while I’m laying out, so portable promotional speakers to connect to my iPod were a must. The next essential was my Pinnacle branded collapsible cooler filled with refreshments and snacks. And lastly, my new favorite promotional product for this summer the Personal Mister, which is a plastic bottle you fill with ice cold water and with a click of a button produces an ultra fine cooling mist. This product is heaven… it was wonderful to have at the pool, but would be great for the beach, amusement parks, and sporting events too!

Summer is a great season to give out unique and useful promotional products to your clients. Everyone is outside enjoying the good weather and those smart marketers are taking this opportunity to brand themselves with promotional items for outdoor events this summer.

Love Means Nothing to a Tennis Player!

DaveMontPhotography-tennisnet/ballDon’t let that saying fool you… tennis players take their game very seriously. May is National Tennis Month and for tennis players and spectators alike, it is the beginning of the exciting summer tournament season! With the French Open already underway and Wimbledon fast approaching, many people are headed out to the courts to work on their serve and ground strokes. Tennis is a great sport for all ages and really brings the community together, especially in the summer months.

There are many sponsored tennis leagues and charity tournaments that provide an excellent opportunity to promote your company or organization. Why not hand out imprinted tennis ball stress balls at your local charity tournament? Another great tennis promotional item that has great visibility is a tennis ball car magnet with your company’s logo and information. People like to have unique bumper stickers on their cars, but don’t always want it to be permanent; what better way than a magnet that can be easily be removed if needed? This has been a huge hit for local tennis clubs and national tennis leagues.

So whether you head out on the tennis court or just watch your favorite tennis pro on television, help celebrate National Tennis Month this May!

May Showers, But Where Are The Flowers?

1_growearth_lrg1

I’m sure you’ve all heard the saying, “April showers bring May flowers.” But as we near the end of May and the showers keep on coming, it’s easy to forget how nice those flowers and the newly emerging greenery can be.

While the rain is much needed and a great relief to the drought the South has been dealing with for the past few years, it can get a bit gloomy after awhile.

If you’re anything like me and are missing those sunny afternoons, do what I’ve done and bring a little Spring to your desktop! Grow-Cups are perfect sized plants you can grow at your desk. Choose from different seed types and actually garden while you work. The cups themselves can be completely customized with your artwork or you can choose from several stock designs. And for just a hair over $2, you can’t beat the value!

Add a little green to your desk and brighten up these rainy Spring days with living promotional products.

Celebrate Memorial Day!

beach itemsThis weekend, take a moment to reflect on the true reason for Memorial Day’s existence. Although we often associate the holiday with a long weekend or the Indianapolis 500, Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for American soldiers who gave their lives for our country. As you set off on trips to the beach or lake, pause to consider the people who are the underlying cause for this national holiday. Our homeland is fortunate to have such dedicated servicemen and women protecting our honor.

Despite the solemn nature of Memorial Day, a long weekend is always reason to celebrate! Employees or customers can enjoy beach-themed goodies all summer long, and we suggest stuffing gift bags with necessities from our Beach Items category.
Fillers like Frisbees offer fun for the whole family, and Sunscreen & Suncare Kits will help prevent nasty sunburns.

This Memorial Day, have fun and stay safe, but most importantly, give thanks for the soldiers lost in the name of duty and keep American troops currently on the front lines in your thoughts and prayers.

Pinnacle Promotions Adopts a Road!

road clean-up 4

Did you know that three out of every four Georgia motorists have witnessed trash being thrown out of a vehicle, but only one out of ten admit to littering from their vehicle? Litter is not only a crime, but it also has negative repercussions for everybody, regardless of whether or not you decide to litter. It consumes millions of taxpayer dollars that would be better spent on other Georgia services, like education or wildlife initiatives, and it pollutes many statewide water sources, simultaneously hurting living creatures inhabiting these environments.

Pinnacle Promotions wants to do our part to combat littering in our area, so we have signed up as a company to “Adopt-a-Road.” We will be maintaining the portion of Jones Mill Road from Peachtree Industrial to Buford Highway in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The “Adopt-a-Road” campaign, sponsored by Gwinnett County Department of Transportation and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful, provides valuable tools and information to citizens who want to help clean up debris in our community. We are proud to add “Adopt-a-Road” to a growing list of sustainable actions being taken by our organization.

If you would like to start a clean-up campaign in your local community, we recommend outfitting your crew in appropriate safety apparel. Find reflective vests and jackets in our Safety Workwear category. We also offer a variety of First Aid Kits in case of minor cuts or scrapes, and Flashlights are always useful for early morning or late night outings to collect trash.

Also, don’t forget about the wide variety of EarthSmart™ products on our website- as members of “1% for the Planet,” we give back one percent of the revenue from sales of these products to environmental non-profit groups!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

pinnaclebravesgame1

Monday night the Pinnacle Crew headed to Turner Field to take in an Atlanta Braves baseball game against the Colorado Rockies. Unfortunately the Braves lost, but we all felt like winners! There is nothing like watching a baseball game on an unusually cool Atlanta night while enjoying all that great stadium food. From peanuts, pretzels, and hotdogs to fully loaded nachos and pizza we all took down some major calories as we cheered on the home team.

Being in the promotional products industry it is hard not to notice all of the promotional marketing that goes on at a live sporting event. From company sponsored billboards, foam Braves tomahawks, branded sweepers that clean off the field to the T-shirts they shoot out into the stands, there are literally thousands of opportunities to promote your business or organization. Even if you don’t have the budget for a Braves game sponsorship, your local little league or annual baseball tournament is a great opportunity to promote yourself. Check out our Outdoors category for great spirit accessories, like imprinted foam fingers, pom poms, sports balls and megaphones.
