Dog Daze of Summer Celebration

Alpharetta Farmers Market. Saturday, 10am. Free.

Are you so dog-gone proud of your pooch that you can’t wait to show him or her off? Then head to the Alpharetta Farmers Market this weekend for a dog parade and a chance to compete in the following categories: best dressed, best trick, best owner lookalike, best runway walk, and more. Dogs can stay cool in the shaded lounge and pool while their humans enjoy snow cones provided by the Downtown Alpharetta Trade Association.

Heritage Sandy Springs Beer Festival

Heritage Green (Sandy Springs). Saturday, 4pm – 9pm. $25 in advance, $35 at the gate.

The Heritage Sandy Springs Beer Festival features over 70 international, American and local beers to sample, in addition to delicious food and several live music performances. Be on the lookout for gourmet craft beer flavored ice cream, too! Admission includes a souvenir pint glass and all proceeds benefit Heritage Sandy Springs, a non-profit organization which hosts free concerts, programs, festivals, and other events at Heritage Green.

Runway RED Wonderland Kids Fashion Show featuring Celebrity Kids

Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Sunday, 5pm – 8:45pm. VIP tickets $50; adults $25; children $15.

Dream Kids, in conjunction with Macy’s, will host its 3rd annual “Runway RED Wonderland Kids Fashion Show” fundraising event to benefit Show Me The Way Foundation, Inc, a non-profit which serves disadvantaged youth in Metro Atlanta. VIP tickets include access into the Dream Kids Hare Care VIP Lounge, a Dream Kids Swag Bag, and a fun photo in the OMG Photobooth.

Canoe and Sweetwater Present an End of Summer BBQ

Canoe. Saturday, 1pm – 4pm. $25.

Join Canoe and the Sweetwater Brewing Company for an End of Summer BBQ to benefit the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (UCR), an organization dedicated to keeping the ‘Hooch clean and safe. Attendees will enjoy savory bites and delicious brews, as well as receive a one-year membership to the UCR. Saving the Hooch has never been so fun!

Women’s & Children’s Expo

Perimeter Mall. Friday through Sunday. Free.

The Women’s and Children’s Expo at Perimeter Mall is geared toward providing professional women and their families with an inside look at innovative new products & services that might make their lives a little bit easier. Women can explore career opportunities, financial services, healthcare options, and more from local and national vendors throughout the mall.

Tee Up for Charity

Bobby Jones Golf Course. Saturday, 8am. $85.

Not playing in the PGA Championship this weekend? No problem! Grab your clubs and head on over to Bobby Jones Golf Course for Tee Up for Charity, a tournament that will benefit The Serenity House Homeless Shelter. The $85 registration fee includes all green & cart fees as well as a catered luncheon, spa service, and a gift bag full of promotional products.
