The vest is insulated with 800-fill-power 100% Responsible Down Standard down certified by Control Union (CU 880272), providing exceptional warmth without bulk. Its quilting pattern enhances insulation efficiency and mobility. Additional features include a center-front zipper with an interior storm flap and zipper garage at the chin for next-to-skin comfort, two secure handwarmer pockets with invisible zippers, and an internal zippered chest pocket that converts to a stuffsack with a carabiner clip-in loop. The vest also features comfortable nylon-bound elastic armholes and an adjustable drawcord hem to seal in warmth.
