Pinnacle Promotions Contributes to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America

Atlanta, GA - Always dedicated to philanthropic causes, Pinnacle Promotions donated a three-night stay at a luxury condo in Playa del Carmen as a silent auction item for an upcoming charity event to benefit Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). The event, hosted by the Georgia chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, aims to raise money for research, educational programs, and support services for the 42,000 Georgians living with these painful, chronic digestive diseases.

Pinnacle has consistently supported local charities, including the Annandale Village, a nonprofit residential community for adults with developmental disabilities and Positive Growth, Inc., a residential treatment facility for troubled and homeless adolescent males. This is their first contribution to CCFA, which also demonstrates a commitment to employee initiatives, as a Pinnacle employee serves on the host committee for the upcoming event.

"Owners Mitch and Dave have an open door policy and are supportive of employees' visions, from suggestions about internal systems to ideas about philanthropy," said Sarah Fell, Pinnacle Marketing Coordinator and CCFA committee member. "At Pinnacle, employees are encouraged to give back to the community through causes that they are passionate about, like CCFA."

Crohn's and ulcerative colitis affect approximately 1.5 million Americans, 10% of those being children. The majority of patients are diagnosed between the ages of 15 and 35 and there is no known cure for these intestinal diseases that can cause life-threatening complications.

About the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America's mission is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Known collectively as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), these painful, chronic illnesses affect approximately 1.4 million Americans, including some 140,000 children under the age of 18. The inaugural Bottoms Up for Crohn's & Colitis is the Georgia chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's newest fundraiser that specifically targets a younger generation of charity-minded attendees.
