When touring one of the local industry tradeshows last week, I discovered the Phone Charging case.
Now, as you may or may not know, my product picks are usually cute or fashion driven. This week is an exception because it is so handy and utilitarian. The Phone Charging Case protects your prized possession AND adds up to 60% more battery life!
This weekend my beloved iPhone 3GS met an untimely end when it slipped from my hand and landed on concrete screen first. I’ve dropped that phone a hundred times in the years that I’ve had it and I probably should have had it on a stand, but I knew when I heard an odd crunchy noise that we had reached the end. When I picked it up, the screen was completely shattered and I was finally conviced it was time for a new phone . But any sadness of the loss of my 2 year old phone has been replaced by the accessory-craze I get each time I upgrade! For this phone, I’m thinking of taking a retro-vintage vibe with my accessory collection, contrasting all that ever-changing technology with a few timeless pieces (hence the low-fi title today). Best of all, the cellphone accessory collection at Pinnacle means this will be my most stylish and well-protected iPhone yet.
Whether it’s new apps that are available, a better camera or just the appeal of having a new toy, getting a new phone is always fun. When I got my new iPhone the other day, my first order of business was to find great accessories for it.
In this day and age, finding the perfect cell phone case is kind of like finding the perfect bag or sunglasses. The right accessories will make any outfit complete.
My search came to an end when I found the BUILT Neoprene Sleeve. This was exactly what I was looking for. These sleeves are durable (made out of neoprene, the same material as wetsuits!), so your phone stays scratch and ding free and best of all, they are very stylish.
The cases come in three colorful options – fireball, raindrop and graphite grid – and you can have your logo imprinted on either side. I know that if I saw a company giving them away at a tradeshow or event, I would definitely pick one up!
Yesterday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution confirmed something I’ve known since I moved to Atlanta five years ago: Georgia residents are bad drivers! How bad? A nationwide survey by GMAC Insurance listed Georgia drivers as 32nd out of the 50 states. Although this statistic shows major improvement since last year, when Georgia drivers ranked 47th in the same survey, motorists here are still well below the national average.
The statistics listed in the study are certainly scary, but they won’t keep me off the roads. Increased awareness of the problem, better traffic control in Atlanta, cell phone accessories to keep drivers off the phone- or at least to keep phones easily accessible, since talking while driving is still legal in Georgia- and a small rant (which follows below) can solve the problem.
