Protect Your Fine Art with Promotional Media Storage Cases

The only thing fresh about David Hockney’s “Fresh Flowers” exhibit at the Pierre Berge-Yves St. Laurent Foundation in Paris, is the idea itself. That’s because tangible paintings doesn’t actually exist; the entire installation consists of digital images that Hockney drew using the Brushes application on his iPhone, and later, his iPad. Hockney discovered the app’s potential about two years ago, when he would awake in the middle of the night and, unable to sleep, reach for his phone to recreate the sunrise. Many mornings, he sent his images to friends and family who weren’t awake to see the inspiration. Today, Hockney says he carries his iPad (perhaps in a promotional media storage case) with him so that he can create art whenever inspiration strikes. People can view the resulting images on the 20 iPhones and the 20 iPads on display in Paris, now through the end of January.

Use Promotional Travel Items While You Still Can!

nate steinerIf you’ve ever been on an airplane, you are familiar with the “sardine packing” sensation that is flying. Recently in the news, there have been a lot of issues with passengers invading each other’s personal space. Today, CNN reported on an incident aboard an American Airlines flight where a disgruntled flyer was promptly escorted off the flight by police, and then charged with assault. What sparked this air rage? A reclined seat.

According to the criminal complaint, when Brian Dougal reclined his seat, Tomisalv Zelenovi, forcefully bumped Dougal ‘s chair. Words were exchanged between the pair, and ultimately the argument ended with Zelenovi shaking the back of Dougal’s seat, and continuously pulling on Dougal’s ear until his glasses fell from his head.

As cabins increasingly shrink, incidents like this have sparked a whole debate on whether reclining airline seats is a privilege or a right. Right now the debate is split. Many travelers believe that reclining is a right that comes with purchasing a seat, while others say it’s a privilege, and doing it is disrespectful.

As the debate continues it will be interesting to see how far airlines will go to avoid further scuffles. But until then, feel free to stretch out, break out those promotional travel items and go to town!

Practice for the 2022 World Cup with Promotional Sport Balls!

This morning, FIFA announced that Russia and Qatar will host the 2018 and 2022 World Cup tournaments, disappointing soccer fans all over the Western Hemisphere.  The organization’s choice to hold the 2022 World Cup in a tiny Middle Eastern emirate makes Qatar the event’s first Muslim host country, and it promises to be memorable for other reasons as well: the Qatari royal family has pledged to spend $4 billion to build 9 stadiums, renovate 3 others and install state-of-the-art outdoor air conditioning systems in all 12 to combat the intense heat the region normally experiences during the summer months – temperatures often climb to 120 degrees during the day.

During the next 12 years, Qatar will spend an additional $50 billion getting ready for the tournament, and you can prepare too by spending that time practicing your footballing skills with promotional sport balls – there’s plenty of time to perfect your skills and try out for your country’s national team!

The Prince is Engaged – Promotion Gift for Kate?

The Prince of Wales is officially off the market!  Hopeful single ladies across the globe are now realizing their dreams of becoming the next Queen of England are over, including myself. Looks like I’ll have to set my sights on Harry now! Royal officials announced the much anticipated engagement of Prince William to his long time girlfriend Kate Middleton this morning. The pair met while attending the University of  St. Andrews in Scotland about ten years ago. I wonder if she knew then that she would be in the running for the unthinkable, Queen title?

He proposed to her on a vacation the pair took to Kenya last month. Now, with both love birds being 28 years old they’re ready to wed! The event of the century will most likely go down sometime next spring or summer. I think I’ll buy Kate a promotion gift instead of an engagement gift. Her becoming the next Queen should most certainly be considered a promotion from her everyday civilian status and therefore a promotion gift is in order! A promotion like no other, she is one lucky lady and I love that she’s doing it all with class.  Congrats Prince William and Kate Middleton on your engagement!

Spotlight on Reusable Grocery Bags: Demystifying the Latest Health Concerns

Reusable Grocery Bag for Promotional Use

Friend or Foe? Make sure to get all the facts before making a decision.

Recent allegations of unacceptable lead levels in some reusable grocery bags has led many retailers to pull their bags off the shelves as a precautionary measure. The Tampa Tribune discovered through a series of laboratory tests that some local reusable bags had lead levels greater than federal limits set for paint and in conflict with pending regulations about children’s toys.

While lead has been linked to learning disabilities in children and fertility problems in adults, it is important to consider the purpose of these reusable grocery bags and the quantity of lead which they actually contain. The substance in question is not in a form that could easily rub off on food or penetrate the skin, such as the lead found in some types of wet paint, so does not pose an immediate threat to consumers. However, over time, the bags can deteriorate and the paint used in their manufacturing processes can flake off and threads can fray, thus releasing the lead and becoming a health hazard. No More Promotional Toys for McDonald’s

Thirty-three years after its inception, the McDonald’s “Happy Meal” will no longer come complete with a toy. Well, not in San Francisco anyway. This week, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted (8-3) to ban the inclusion of toys in children’s meals that do not meet certain nutritional standards. Apparently the so-called Happy Meal either exceeds 600 calories, 640 milligrams of sodium, does not contain fruits and vegetables, or includes beverages with excessive fat or sugar.

The new law is obviously an effort to combat the recent childhood obesity epidemic by making unhealthy foods less appealing for the impressionable youth. McDonald’s is obviously unhappy about the decision – but what about the movie companies whose Happy Meal promotional toys can be worth millions in licensing deals and advertising?

Political Marketing with Promotional Products on Election Day 2010

Welcome to this week’s edition of “Trending Topic Tuesday,” where we share our take on what’s going on in the world and what promotional products would appropriately (or inappropriately) market the subject matter.

Marketing has become an integral part of politics in the United States, which always becomes increasingly apparent as Election Day draws near: on our televisions, in our neighbors’ yards, and even attached to the clothing and car bumpers of many of our fellow citizens.  And while the first political campaign television ad debuted as a part of Dwight D. Eisenhower’s 1952 Presidential campaign, promotional products have been used for much longer.

It’s true! Read more…

Update Your Promotional First Aid Kits with New CPR Guidelines!

New guidelines from the American Heart Association outlining the steps for CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) instruct rescuers to begin with hard, fast chest presses prior to giving victims mouth-to-mouth.
The change differs from old CPR training, in that rescuers are no longer supposed to give two breaths first, then alternate with 30 presses, which co-author of the guidelines, Dr. Michael Sayre, states took time and delayed chest presses, vital for keeping the blood circulating. Instead of following the steps “A-B-C”, or “Airway, Breathing, and Compressions,” the new process should follow the acronym “C-A-B”, or “Compressions, Airway, and Breathing.” New specifications also pertain to the depth at which rescuers should push on victim’s chests, as deeper compressions of at least 2 inches in adults are advised.

By keeping promotional first aid kits with the most up-to-date life-saving techniques accessible to everyone in your office environment, your company may prevent future workplace accidents. Keep reading for complete step-by-step CPR directions…

Custom T-Shirts for “The Situation”

http://thesituationshirt.com/

On my way to work this morning, a local radio station was discussing how reality star Mike “The Situation” of MTV’s Jersey Shore has one of the highest grossing phone apps ever with GTL locations and a “Grenade Dodger” game. “The Situation” already has several other businesses in the works and he also, supposedly, has a t-shirt coming out that will have a hole in the belly so you can show off your “abs”. You may not initially think of that product being custom t-shirts, but it definitely is, it promotes the brand that he is making for himself and MTV indirectly for introducing him to the world. So if someone like “The Situation” can make himself famous with custom t-shirts, think of what it can do for your business.

Promotional Cinch Bags for The Palmyra Foundation

Earlier this month, the Palmyra Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supplying school books to children in public schools in Jamaica, distributed 7,000 books to 2,000 children during their first week of school. “I think the most gratifying aspect of the experience of sharing these gifts of learning with these delightful, energetic, hopeful children is the knowledge that we were there, with and for them from the very start. Today makes one reflect on the reality that it truly does take a village to raise a child and through the Palmyra Foundation, we are happy to play our part as our children’s keepers”, commented Attorney Gordon Brown, one of the sponsors who helped distribute books at the event.

Pinnacle Promotions was happy to play our part by working with the Palmyra Foundation in creating the custom promotional cinch bags in which the books were distributed. Each child received their very own bag complete with a pack of crayons, a pencil, a 300 page BrainQuest Workbook and 2 or 3 Scholastic reading books.
