Stone Mountain Christmas
Stone Mountain Park. Thursday and December 26-30. 10am – 10pm. $27 adults, $21 children ages 3-11.
Bring the whole family to Stone Mountain this holiday season to enjoy more than a dozen performances and activities for all ages, as well as festive decorations and displays all over the park. From Wonderland Walkway and the Snow Angel Palace (where you can have your picture taken with a snow angel and her toy soldier guards) to the Simply Christmas Music Revue, there are lots of events to keep your family busy all day long at Stone Mountain.

Bagel Bash 2010
Park Tavern. Friday, 9pm – 2:30am. $25.
Because not everybody celebrates Christmas. Atlanta’s biggest Jewish party of the year will feature DJ Jazzy Steingoldbaumschwartzberg, “The Rink,” Atlanta’s newest ice skating experience and of course plenty of cash bars for some schmoozing and boozing. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Young Adult Programs at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta.

A Christmas Story
Conant Performing Arts Center. Thursday, Friday & Sunday, 2pm; Thursday & Sunday, 7pm. $15+.
I double dog dare ya to go see Georgia Shakespeare’s version of A Christmas Story. This holiday favorite has been transformed into an onstage reenactment of the 1983 Christmas comedy, with actor Cooper Driskell cast as the troubled Ralphie. Expect to see all your favorite scenes of this classic tale.

Whatever You Believe In Holiday Bash
Vinyl. Thursday, 8pm. $5.
No matter what your beliefs are, bring some holiday cheer and a few friends to Vinyl this Thursday night to enjoy good music for a great cause. Blue Hotel, No Bruises, Animal and The Evolvers, DJ Airwolf, and DJ Money $hot will be on hand to provide live entertainment throughout the night. Proceeds benefit Volunteer Experiences (www.volep.com).

Chinese Food and a Movie

Looking for something to do on Christmas Eve? This year, enjoy Chinese Food and a Movie and the W Hotel in Buckhead. In addition to classic movies played on big screens and chinese hors d’oeuvres, this event features music by DJ Rimby and an open Ciroc vodka bar, all included in the ticket price. A portion of proceeds goes to various Jewish charities.

Rock Spring Presbyterian Church 57th Annual Live Nativity Scene
Rock Springs Presbyterian Church. Thursday, 7:30pm – 9pm; Friday, 7:30pm-9:30pm. Free.
This Atlanta tradition has delighted church members and local families since 1954, making it the longest-running Live Nativity Scene in the city, and this year should prove to be no different. Half-hour long scenes will be acted out, with live farm animals, seasonal music, and sacred scripture to enhance the theatricals. Refreshments will be served following performances in the church’s Fellowship Hall.
