Having been in the Industry for over a year now, it takes a really unique product to catch my eye. Mugs, journals, reusable totes and pens all have their place in the world, but most are not super exciting. I mean, a cinch pack is usually just a cinch pack, right? Yawn.
The royal wedding is this Friday! Check our blog for daily updates featuring our favorite promotional products that celebrate the marriage of Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton.
Across the pond in England, many promotional product suppliers are working with distributors to offer an array of “royal wedding” related inexpensive giveaways, including tea tins, bookmarks, bags, and even alcoholic beverages. According to Neil Saunders, consulting director of retail researchers Verdict, the sale of royal wedding merchandise could exceed $42.5 million (£26 million). UK based trade association for the advertising specialty industry, PROMOTA, has even gone so far as to create an entire web site for suppliers to upload images of wedding related products which they have designed.
With promotional options starting as low as $1 (royal crown bookmarks) and hitting prices as high as $3000 (an 18k white gold replica of Kate’s engagement ring), you can invest as much or as little as you would like in celebrating Friday’s royal nuptials.
Many people are throwing parties to watch the festivities with friends and family from home, so here are a few ideas on how to stage a memorable viewing party of your own using handmade and store-bought inexpensive giveaways.
This past Saturday my husband and I had the pleasure of attending the first annual Grayson Blues & Brews festival in Grayson, GA. While the entrance fee was a bit on the steep side, the promise of an afternoon of free-flowing beer tastings, an event t-shirt and other inexpensive giveaways was enough to seal the deal. And with a rather large crowd, the event seemed to be a hit in the growing Gwinnett town.
If you’re like me and spent your holiday weekend indulging in fine food and perhaps splurging on a little shopping trip too, you might be relieved to hear that September is National Coupon Month and there are plenty of inexpensive giveaways that can help you save money while promoting your brand as a reliable choice.
Our office manager just came by my department to pass out some giveaways from a vendor. These flexible vases are made of PVC and fold flat so you can send them in envelopes.
Tonight is the Season 10 finale of Dancing With The Stars and there is much anticipation to see who will win the coveted mirrored disco ball. My vote is for Pussycat Dolls singer, Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough. I think she is by far the best dancer out there, even if she does sing and dance for a living. Her dance to “Lady in Red” was spectacular and Carrie Anne Inaba needs to get off illegal lift patrol… the dance was over! I digress.
One thing I’ve never understood is the blood, sweat and tears that these dancers and celebrities risk all for what looks like a $20 disco ball? Just goes to show you that it’s not all about the actual prize. Here at Pinnacle we are always amazed at what an inexpensive giveaway can actually do for a business. People just LOVE free stuff, sometimes it doesn’t matter what it is.
